The most important part that gives the limits of stability and execution of the car on the road is the tires. We can say that a tire is not changed with a new one before it is used. For a much better performance they must be changed and adapt to every driver dependable on the way that is driving the car. A tire can “hold on” for a longer period of time thanks to the composition that is realized from a high teak rubber.
The high performance tires are more expensive and are consumed in a quick period of time then the standard tires, but the reality is that they combined a good stability and a better design in the period of time that they live. If you got a car that reaches high performance or you want to tune her, and you begin by changing the old tires the best profile for beauty is the one from 40 to 45 but the price is not a comfortable one for every pocket because if you choose a lower profiles of the tires they are more expensive. If you don’t have a possibility to choose from a 40 or a 45 profile at least get a 55 profile.
Numbers and letters on the tires
Let’s look at a famous wheel and to try to understand what the numbers inscribe on it means and the letters on the sides just like P205/50V/R15:
1. The first letter “P” cams from “passenger car”;
2. The first number “205” represents the width in millimeters and represents of course 20.5 centimeters;
3. You must be careful because the second number does not represent height of the tire just like some of you will believe. Actually is name is “Ratio Aspect” or the profile of the tire and in this case this rapport from width and height is of 50% and it means that the height is of 102.5 centimeters that means a half from the width of the wheel;
4. The most important part represents the speed limits that differ from car to car depending of the possibility of some speeds. The next letter that appears after the “Ratio Aspect” indicates the maximum speed that the tires can handles if it is charged on the same PSI that requires for some periods of time. If the letter is more advance in the vocabulary the tires can resist more on a amount of temperature and can produce a higher adherence and a better stability that permits the abilities to attack a curve in high speeds, to break almost immediately or even a better acceleration. A car from the Sedan family does not require a letter bigger than an “S” for the tires, but a Ferrari can even use a “Z” letter. Of course that a tire from the “Z” zone is more expensive and with a life shorter then others.
5. The last letter “R” cams from the construction of radios and indicates what rims you can use for the tire.
6. The last number represents the diameter of the tire explicated in inch that can be mounting that tire. In this case you can mount the tire on rim of 15 inches.
