Mitsubishi announces a new version of its compact truck, Gallant Fortis. Indeed, this truck, which is sold in Canada under the name of to launch, will be from now on available in version RALLIART.

     Gallant Fortis RALLIART is located between versions GTS and the powerful one Evolution. Under the aluminium cap is a four cylinder motor of 2,0 liters turbo compress, which produces 237 horses with 6.000 tr/min., and 253 lb/pi of couple with 3.000 tr/min. This engine is twinned with an automatic transmission with double clutch with manual mode. In fact, one used the gear box ST which equips the Throw Evolution X, to which one changed the ratios of the fifth and the sixth report/ratio, with an aim of supporting itsaving in gasoline.

     This performance is conveyed with the four wheels via an integral transmission with constant catch, which includes/understands a differential before and back with limited slip and an active central differential. Moreover, the RALLIART is equipped with one system of control of stability and of brakes anti-locking, both managed by a dynamic system of check of the vehicle. The driver can thus choose among three various adjustments: TARMAC, for dry and asphalted surfaces, GRAVEL, for the wet surfaces or gravel glazes and SNOW, for frozen surfaces.

     In the chapter of esthetics, a new bumper was designed for the RALLIART, in order to better cool the engine, in addition to conferring on the car a threatening pace. The back bumper, for its part, was also re-examined so integrating the two ends of exhaust and better directing the flood of air.
Thus, it makes it possible to improve the stability of the car at high speed. On the cap, an air intake makes it possible to supply the turbo compressor, while two others take care to cool the engine. Inside, one installed seats offering an increased support and the pedals are in aluminum.

     Gallant Fortis RALLIART is now on sale in Japan. Mitsubishi still did not announce its arrival in Canada.

     Like the version truck, the Sportback version of To launch find its way towards the Japanese market under name Gallant Fortis, confirming the attribution of name Throw with the only EVO no notable modification for this To launch Sportback when it becomes Galant Fortis Sportback. Three motorizations are planned for the Japanese market: 4 cylinders 2.0 MIVEC 154 CH/198 Nm associated exclusively with a box CVT equipped with 6 reports/ratios for the manual selection at the wheel, and proposed with or without the integral transmission.

     This engine is declined in Touring alternatives or Sport. The more sporting version Ralliart is part, and takes again the 2.0 Turbo one of 240 CH/343 Nm, associated the box clutch ST and with the integral transmission doubles.

     The transmision of the car is a sport one and it is provided from the same factory and the name of it is Mitsubishi Twin Clutch SST and it is fully automatic. But this shifter can offer the posibility of turning into a manual one by simple of the press of a button.

     The most important aspect of this gear box is that when it runs in the fifth or six speed it can offer a very low consumtion of gasoline the smalest in it class. A model, which in the end, should not be very important for Mitsubishi, since it was not even a subject for the small press release for its launching. The price you will have to pay for this car will be around 28 000 euros.
