Tires & Rims

Road adhesion
The road adhesion of a vehicle depends very much of the quality of the tires and the way we maintain them. Winter tires or summer tires can be used directly proportional with there quality and the way we exploit theme. So a good tire can last even 80000 km or even more. Since, in the winter the tire are use less then in the summer, those types of tires can last even longer.

The replacement of the rims and tires:
After a first stage when we replaced the standard rims with light aroid ones, cams an inevitable change with a lower section wheels and rims in a bigger diameter. The advantage: the look, increase of lateral stability, better answer of the steering wheel, better brakes, better cooling of the brakes, easier solution for the geometry of the wheels. Disadvantages: reduce the capacity of the burn out, increase the consumption of the fuel, frictions in the passages of the wheel; a higher risk of damaging the rims and the tires if we hit a bump and the law does not less us and also aquaplaning.
The coefficient for the static friction is dependable of the car speed, the condition of the tires and the condition of the road. If you want a good coefficient on the track you can choose wheels with 1.8 adhesions but use them exclusively on the track circuit. Generally the coefficient for static friction is bigger then the coefficient of sliding that’s way is we blocked the wheels when running the distance that the car need to a full stop, increase.
In a conclusion we need to use slicks because the adherence is bigger then the tires with a big flower, but only if the road is dry. For any other scenarios the adherence dramatic decrease.
Aquaplaning
Aquaplaning is the phenomenal in witch the tires are loosing contact with the road, and the wheel movement is made only on the surface of the water. For the cause of aquaplaning we remind:
” The dept of the water that is on the road;
” The shape of the tire that prevents the evacuation of the water from the contact zone with the road;
” High speed of the vehicle;
” The pressure that the vehicle has over the road, directly proportional to the weight and aerodynamics of the car;
In the moment when aquaplaning appears the tire will try to maintain contact with the road and you will lose the control of speed over the vehicle and also the direction.
Despite of all the general opinions, higher tiers are more vulnerable to aquaplaning.
